- While I acknowledge there are some parallels, I do not see it being completely the same. For one, people are completely accustomed to the notion of having computers and mobile devices. At the time of the example cited, the notion of having a home computer was new and, to a degree, an luxury for most.

- Ooooh goodness. Here we go. The point is that technology, as an industry, has, by and large, seen costs decline while the products improve. I can buy a significantly more powerful computer today for much less than I could when you guys were messing around with the baud.

- It will soon be all of us as more and more media is pushed onto the Internet. For example, companies like Apple and Netflix have pushed to distribute movie rentals online. As a consumer, I want this type of on demand service.
